The Delhi Amritsar Katra expressway is 670 kilometers long projecting a total construction cost of INR 37,524 crores.
The Delhi Amritsar Katra expressway’s opening date is tentatively going to be in the financial year 2024-25. Currently, it is a four-lane expressway but is expected to expand to an eight-lane expressway in the future.
The distance between Delhi and Katra will be reduced by over 150 kilometers, from 727 to 588 kilometers.
Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway will take 6 hours to reach from Delhi to Katra.
The distance between Delhi and Amritsar will reduce by 50 kilometers, taking only 4 hours to reach.
It will just take 8 hours to travel from Delhi to Srinagar.
Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport of Amritsar will fall on this expressway.
It will connect Delhi to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and Vaishno Devi in Katra.
It will connect several religious places like Tarn Taran, Khadoor Sahib, Goindwal Sahib, and Dera Baba Nanak.
The Delhi Amritsar Katra expressway’s deadline is of two years, which means it is most likely to complete around December 2025.

The construction of Delhi Amritsar Katra expressway by The NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) is being done in two phases:
Phase I is a greenfield project and is divided into 12 packages.
Phase II is a brownfield and greenfield project and is divided into five packages.
