In India, the MSRDC has made a significant contribution to changing the face of the future by choosing to resolve complex challenges and by providing the best transportation means to the state. To support the spirit of entrepreneurship and attract investments, Samruddhi Mahamarg is being planned.
To boost the economy of the rural areas of Mumbai, the best infrastructure of Samruddhi Mahamarg is under construction. This infrastructure will include the Nagpur-Mumbai Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Samruddhi Mahamarg to allow safe commuting between Mumbai and Nagpur and 19+ new towns with modern amenities, agro-based industries, and commercial hub.
Samruddhi Mahamarg Mumbai Nagpur Expressway will provide good connectivity across regions and become a gateway to national and international markets via JNPT in Mumbai and the international Hub Airport. The new towns proposed along the Samruddhi Mahamarg- Mumbai Nagpur Expressway will provide production, trade, and commercial facilities.
According to some reports, the current status of the expressway project is that around 70% of the civil construction work is completed. From the Shahpur district, the Mumbai Nagpur Expressway is going to start. Supporting work like food plazas, toilets, and petrol pumps is still underway.

The first phase of 210 km between Nagpur and Washim District of Samruddhi Mahamarg will be operational from May 2022.

Because of this project, landowners are cooperating and voluntarily participating by providing consent of their land for land pooling. The lands will be given back to them in a developed land equivalent to 30% in exchange for the landowner's pooled land for Krushi Samruddhi Nagar and 25% for the land pooling on the expressway.
Amenities will be provided in the form of parks, open spaces, playgrounds, water, power, and roads.
