The Government of Jharkhand launched an online portal known as "Jharbhoomi" to provide citizens with land-related information. Farmers were relieved because they no longer had to visit government offices to check the khasra khatauni, or land map, all thanks to the Jharbhoomi Jharkhand portal.
Notably, Jharbhoomi Jharkhand is an official Bhulekh portal created in partnership with the National Informatics Center.
In 2008, the Government of India launched the NLRMP—National Land Records Modernization Program—in order to bring transparency to the land record Jharkhand system and resolve any issues that may arise in the future.
Launching the Bhulekh system was intended to reduce property-related issues and promote transparency. The state's citizens can receive land-related information in a digital format because of the Jharbhoomi Jharkhand portal.
