The first phase of the Bhubaneswar metro will provide seamless connectivity between Trisulia, near Cuttack, and the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.

DPR of Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project 

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been roped in to support Odisha Rail Infrastructure Development Ltd. in preparing the detailed project report (DPR) of the Odisha Metro.

Odisha Rail Infrastructure Development Ltd. is a joint venture between the Railways Ministry and the Odisha government.

• According to the recent announcement by the Housing and Urban Development Minister of Odisha, Usha Devi, the project work for the metro in Bhubaneswar will start by the end of 2023.

• Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project, in cooperation with DMRC, has started a survey of the land for the Cuttack Bhubaneswar Puri metro Project. It is expected to complete the soil testing and DPR preparation by August.
