The Neerja starrer actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja recently sold her Bandra Kurla Complex-based apartment to SMF infrastructure, a Delhi-based company for 32.50 crores. Sonam purchased this apartment in Mumbai in 2015. It is located at Signature Island and had purchased it for 31.48 crores. The apartment has a carpet area of over 4,610 sq ft. The developer of this residential project is Sunteck Realty.
As per the various media reports, the buyer has paid a stamp duty to register the deal that took place on 29th December 2022. The stamp duty cost the buyer around 1.95 crores. A ton of people from the corporate world, banking, and Bollywood fraternity have bought apartments in this residential project. As per a real estate advisory firm, Indextap.com, the third-floor flat’s built-up area is 5333 square feet. The Bollywood actress also owns a gorgeous home in Notting Hill, London.
Even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had bought an apartment in this residential project. The other past buyers of this residential project include Uday Kotak, Gautam Adani, Mihir Doshi & Vikram Pandit.
Notably, the property prices in Mumbai are India’s most expensive and biggest ones. It has a record-setting spree for stamp duty revenue collection for the month of December. The city witnessed a new peak in 2022, even after increasing property and mortgage rates. As per the Economic Times, Mumbai’s registration stamp duty set a new record of 8,893 crores.
Property registrations in Mumbai also rose by 9% year on year in 2022, as per a media report. 1,21,850 units of properties were registered in Mumbai city (BMC area). 86% of all these properties were residential.
