Mumbai Coastal Road Project's Current Status
The Mumbai coastal road project completion date has not been revealed, but as per the latest reports, the work on the project is expected to be completed between November 2023 to May 2024.
As of now the construction work of the 10.58 km long Coastal Road Southern Section from the Princess Street Flyover on Shyamaldas Gandhi Marg to the Worli side of the Bandra Sea Link is under process.
After Phase 1, the BMC intends to build an 8.5 km long and 20 m wide sea promenade. While this spacious sea corridor will connect Priyadarshini Park at Napean Sea Road and the Worli side of the Bandra Worli Sea Link, the Phase 2 will connect Bandra Sea Link to Kandivali.
The project’s construction has affected the daily passengers travelling towards South Mumbai areas like Churchgate Nariman Point, Cuffe Parade, and Colaba, which is why travellers are advised to take Maharshi Karve Road for commuting.
