The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority(MHADA) Lottery 2023 registrations for Pune have begun from January 5.
On the other hand, MHADA is also set to sell close to 4000 affordable homes in Mumbai. More than 50% of these affordable homes are expected to be for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
As per the MHADA officials, the apartments for all the categories will be sold by lottery. The apartment size starts from 300 feet and goes to 600 feet across all categories. The pricing for them has not been decided yet but will be finalised in the upcoming days. The Mumbai apartments for the EWS section will be in Goregaon while apartments for the rest of the categories will be scattered across Suburban, Central, and Southern Mumbai.
How To Apply For MHADA Lottery 2023
You can participate in any lottery across the state of Maharashtra by registering online. Once registered, you will be submitting your documents like your PAN card, proof of income, and Aadhar card. You will be eligible for the lottery once your verification is done.
The winners had to visit the office for the verification process before this, per an MHADA official. But now it’ll be held online. The revised income slabs announced by Maharashtra Government will be applicable for this lottery.

Revised Income Cap For Different Segments Under MHADA Lottery 2023
As per the revision, the income cap on EWS was increased to 6 lakhs from 3 lakhs for those staying in Pune, Mumbai, and Nagpur metropolitan regions. The income cap on EWS for the rest of the state is 4.5 lakhs.
The income cap for the Low Income Group was increased to 9 lakhs from 6 lakhs for those staying in Pune, Mumbai, and Nagpur metropolitan regions. The income cap on EWS for the rest of the state is 7.5 lakhs.
The income cap for the Middle Income Group was increased to 12 lakhs from 9 lakhs for the state of Maharashtra. Any family earning more than 12 lakhs falls into the category of High Income Group.
